Viewpoints welcomes Navy Chaplain
Rear Adm. Margaret Kibben spoke in Rancho Santa Fe on May 7 at the Viewpoints event held at the Village Church.
Kibben, deputy chief of Navy Chaplains and chief chaplain of the Marine Corps, is involved in many important issues of the military today, including matters such as: women in the military, the issue of post-traumatic stress syndrome in the active duty and veteran population, the integration of veterans into the civilian world, and the role of ethics and religion in the military. Kibben has said of herself, “I am the chaplain of those with various religions, and those with no religion, I do not just represent Christianity.”
Viewpoints is co-presented by the Village Church and the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation. The goal of the Viewpoints lecture series is to inform, inspire and impact by providing a forum in which individuals, renown in their field, share their knowledge, wisdom and insight with members of our community.
