Traffic collision knocks out power to parts of Rancho Santa Fe
On Tuesday, May 20, at 3:21 p.m., Rancho Santa Fe firefighters responded to the report of a traffic collision on Rancho Santa Fe Farms Road near Poco Lago.
Upon arrival they found a white SUV had rolled over, trapping the driver inside the vehicle. Crews worked to quickly extricate the individual, a male, who was then transported by AMR ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. An electrical box was knocked over during the accident, causing a power outage in some parts of Rancho Santa Fe. SDG&E crews were requested to respond and restore power in the area. The cause of the incident is under investigation by California Highway Patrol.
