‘The Evening of Change’ with Glenn and Jessie Close set for Nov. 12
BringChange2Mind and the International Bipolar Foundation join forces to fight the stigma associated with mental illness. Both nonprofit organizations are passionate about educating the public and reversing the negative stigma often associated with mental illness.
The idea of a national anti-stigma campaign was born of a partnership between actress Glenn Close and Fountain House, where Glenn volunteered in order to learn about mental illness, from which both her sister and nephew suffer. Glenn and her sister Jessie will deliver the keynote address at an event co-sponsored by BC2M and IBPF on Nov. 12 in San Diego. Thomas Insel MD, Head of the National Institute for Mental Health, will give the welcome.
