A suspect stole a ring from Rancho Santa Fe Estate and Fine Jewelry on Monday morning. According to Rancho Santa Fe Patrol Chief Matt Wellhouser, around 11 a.m. on Feb. 13, a black male was pretending to shop for a ring in the jewelry store on 6024 Paseo Delicias. He asked to try it on and once he had it on his finger, he ran out of the store.
The ring was valued at $8,000.
The man was described as wearing a black hat, plaid shirt and jeans, and was seen running toward La Granada. The Rancho Santa Fe Patrol and sheriff’s department searched the area by foot and with a helicopter but did not find the suspect.
