Sports update for Rancho Santa Fe

Boys basketball:
Torrey Pines put the finishing touches on a perfect Palomar League campaign with a 57-40 victory over Canyon Crest Academy on Feb. 21.
The win followed a 64-58 win against Rancho Bernardo three days earlier.
Brandon Cyrus scored 23 points and had seven rebounds to lead the Falcons in the CCA game.
Dominic Hovasse added 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals, and Sam Worman contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
Worman scored 28 points and Cyrus added 21 points to lead the Falcons against Rancho Bernanrdo.
The Falcons improved to 10-0 in league and 25-4 overall for the season.
Cathedral dropped into third place in the Western League after a 54-50 league loss to Mission Bay on Feb. 21.
The loss followed a 67-43 defeat at the hands of St. Augustine three days earlier.
Kevin McNeela led the Dons with 20 points in the Mission Bay game.
Max Gardner and Cameron Moore added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Reid Johnson scored 13 points and Moore scored 12 to lead the Dons in the St. Augustine game.
The Dons fell to 7-5 in league and 15-10 overall for the season.
San Diego Jewish Academy fell into a four-way tie for second place in the Pacific League after the Lions lost to Pacific Ridge 34-31 in a league game on Feb. 20.
The loss followed a 70-41 setback at the hands of unbeaten league champion Calvin Christian two days earlier.
The Lions held a narrow lead over Pacific Ridge most of the game but were outscored 10-6 in a decisive fourth quarter.
Judah Rosenzweig scored 10 points to lead the Lions in the Pacific Ridge game and Jordan Battaglia added seven points.
Rosenzweig led the Lions with 16 points in the Calvin Christian game and Adam Sloane added 11 points.
The Lions fell to 7-5 in league and 16-7 overall for the season.
Santa Fe Christian lost to Army-Navy 62-48 in a Coastal League game on Feb. 21.
Brian Finley led the Eagles with 10 points and Jack Langborg added eight points.
Finley scored 17 points and Langborg had 16 points in a 65-48 loss to Francis Parker two days earlier.
The Eagles fell to 3-7 in league and 15-12 overall for the season.
Girls basketball:

Campisano scored 32 points and had 19 rebounds to lead the Falcons in the Rancho Bernardo game.
Ellis added 10 points, eight rebounds and six steals.
The Falcons improved to 10-0 in league and 22-5 overall for the season.
Cathedral Catholic experienced its first Western League loss of the season, 72-68 to Our Lady of the Peace on Feb. 18.
The Dons fell to 10-1 in league and 19-7 overall for the season.
Girls soccer:

The Falcons improved to 9-0-1 in league and 21-1-1 overall for the season.

Boys soccer:

The Falcons played Canyon Crest Academy to a scoreless tie in a Palomar League finale for both teams on Feb. 20.
They also deadlocked with Rancho Bernardo 4-4 two days earlier.
Falcons goalie Jack Sampiere had five saves in the CCA game.
Tyler Valdes and Asher Booth each scored two goals and had one assist to lead the Falcons in the Rancho Bernardo game.
Jack Dempsey and Connor Hargreaves each contributed one assist.
Sampiere had seven saves.
The Falcons improved to 3-4-3 in league and 10-7-7 overall for the season.
