Twenty-eight parking citations were issued in the last month since the CHP (California Highway Patrol) started ticketing parking violations in the Rancho Santa Fe Village. RSF Association Manager Pete Smith said the new system is working very well and they are seeing more spaces open in the timed spaces, as well as more people using perimeter parking on the streets outside the village.

Nine of the 28 tickets were given on the first day of enforcement.

“The feedback is generally positive,” said RSF Patrol Chief Matt Wellhouser. “I think the merchants see the difference.”
