Rancho Santa Fe student places second in county writing contest

R. Roger Rowe sixth grade student Kate Bennett recently won second place in the grades 5-6 category of the 2013-2014 CATE Student Creative Writing Contest for San Diego County. (CATE stands for California Association of Teachers of English.)

In the contest, students were required to write an essay, poem or piece of fiction about a person or character who demonstrates or experiences the concept of “paying it forward.”
