Rancho Santa Fe sports update

Santa Fe Christian is going into the playoffs with a head of steam.
The Eagles capped off their regular season with a 6-2 Coastal League South victory over Bishop’s on May 22. They concluded league play undefeated as they extended their winning streak to 10 games.
Dillon Paulson led Eagles with two hits including a double and four RBI.
Paulson led off the bottom of the first inning with a ground rule double that sparked a four-run outburst.
Luke Vandertie had three hits and Cole Weaver and Dean Eliott each contributed two hits.
The victory followed a 1-0 nonleague win against Mater Dei Catholic on May 20 in which Cole Acosta pitched a complete game two-hit shutout.
Gary Saggese singled in the game-winning for SFC in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Brian Blatnick.
The Eagles improved to 9-0 in league and 21-5 overall for the season.
Cathedral Catholic had its four-game winning streak snapped as the Dons lost to Mira Mesa 4-3 in an Eastern League finale for both teams on May 21.
Andrew Wilson had three hits including a double in defeat for the Dons and Giovanni Garbella added two hits and one RBI.
The Dons earlier in the week swept a doubleheader from St. Augustine with 8-2 and 4-3 victories on May 20, respectively. They trounced Mira Misa 20-4 the next day.
Sean Bouchard had four hits including two home runs and five RBI to lead the Dons in the first game against St. Augustine.
Brady Aiken had three hits and three RBI to lead the Dons in the second game.
John Cresto had three hits including a home run and drove in three runs to lead the Dons in the Mira Mesa game.
Toru Sugiura contributed two hits including a double and three RBI and Ryan Johnston added two hits and two RBI.
The Dons improved to 10-2 in league and 23-5 overall for the season.
Canyon Crest Academy lost its Palomar League finale to Rancho Bernardo 6-0 on May 22.
The loss followed a 6-1 victory over Torrey Pines and 4-2 win against Mt. Carmel on May 20 and 21, respectively.
Nathan Landers and Riley Adams each had two hits in defeat for the Ravens in the Rancho Bernardo game.
Jakob Loren had two hits including a double and two RBI to lead the Ravens in the Torrey Pines game.
Dylan Gargas, who was credited with the victory, pitched five shutout innings of two-hit ball.
Tom Baronner and Pete Mitchell each had two hits in defeat for Torrey Pines.
Grant Gilbreth had two hits and Alex Rejto had a double and two RBI to lead the Ravens in the Mt. Carmel game.
The Ravens improved to 7-8 in league and 13-15 overall for the season.
The Falcons lost to Poway 10-2 in a Palomar League finale for both teams on May 21.
Jake Singer had two hits in defeat for the Falcons, who lost eight of their last nine regular season games.
The Falcons fell to 3-12 in league and 12-17 overall for the season.
Cathedral Catholic defeated Mission Hills 11-8 in the Division I championship game on May 20.
The Dons extended their winning streak to seven games as they improved their overall record for the season to 16-4.
Canyon Crest Academy lost to La Costa Canyon 12-9 in the Open Division championship game on May 20.
The Ravens were riding an 11-game winning streak going into the finals.
Alexa Carter scored five goals in defeat for the Ravens.
Katie Carlson added one goal and two assists and Emma Normoyle contributed two goals.

The Ravens fell to 18-3 overall for the season.
Santa Fe Christian advanced to within one victory of the Division IV championship game after the Eagles defeated Oceanside in a playoff quarterfinal on May 24.
The victory followed a 15-12 win against Escondido Charter in a first-round game two days earlier.
Kelly Clanton had three hits including a double and a home run and three RBI to lead the Eagles in the Escondido Charter game.
Erin Vandertie had three hits including a double and a triple and three RBI and Elyssa Reyes had two hits including a double and two RBI.
The Eagles improved to 15-9 overall for the season.
Torrey Pines defeated West Hills 5-4 in a first-round Open Division playoff game on May 24 that went eight innings.
The Falcons scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning on Shelbianne Evans’ walk-off home run.
Emma Wong had three hits and two RBI and Xstaviana
Augar added a double and a sacrifice fly for Torrey Pines.
The Falcons improved their overall record for the season to 16-12.
