Rancho Santa Fe School District’s Cindy Schaub to join South Bay Union School District

The South Bay Union School District has named Cindy Schaub as the district’s new Assistant Superintendent of Educational Leadership. Schaub currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in the Rancho Santa Fe School District.

South Bay Union is the most southwesterly school district in the United States. The pre-kindergarten - 8 district serves Imperial Beach, San Ysidro, and south San Diego.

Prior to her district leadership position in Rancho Santa Fe, Schaub served as an elementary principal in the district. She began her K-8 teaching career in 1987 with various positions in Arizona, Utah, the Del Mar Union School District, and in Rancho Santa Fe. She has also served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Arizona State University as the Assistant Director of Field Experience and Student Teacher Supervisor and at California State University, San Marcos.

Schaub has a Master of Education in Elementary Education and Curriculum from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University.

Schaub’s experience includes leadership roles on the North County Professional Development Federation and the San Diego County Office of Education Curriculum and Instruction Group.

The South Bay Union School District Board of Trustees formally approved Schaub’s appointment on July 24.
