Rancho Santa Fe Rotary honors ‘Students of the Month’
Rancho Santa Fe Rotary honored its “Students of the Month” at its Nov. 1 meeting, awarding certificates to R.Roger Rowe School eighth graders Connor Bailey, Noah Diamont, Meghan Harrington and Torrey Pines High School student Lindsay Dale.
Connor currently serves as student council treasurer for the second year in a row and plays lacrosse, soccer, tennis and runs cross country. Superintendent Lindy Delaney said he is a student who really looks out for others.
Noah is also an athlete who runs cross country and track and is on the wrestling team. He is also in Boy Scouts and plays guitar.
“He is a genuinely kind person that every teacher loves to have in class,” Delaney said.
Fellow student of the month Meghan plays volleyball and soccer and is also a very accomplished artist, Delaney said. Meghan designed a school logo and her artwork is on all of the school t-shirts.
Delaney called Lindsay, who attended Rowe for elementary and middle school, a life-long learner. She is an editor on the Torrey Pines Falconer newspaper staff, a member of the National Honor Society and a member of Best Buddies, a club that pairs teens with students with special needs. This year, Lindsay is bringing the Best Buddies program to Rowe.
