Share

The Rancho Santa Fe Children’s Library and participants celebrated Benjamin Franklin’s Jan. 17 birthday by making their own brand of bifocals, one of Franklin’s many inventions. Children decorated paper glasses with sequins and feathers, and some channeled their inner-Franklin and created triple glasses.

The library has a variety of activities planned for the rest of January, including a “Make and Take Button Craft” all day on Saturday, Jan. 25, a preschool story time on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. will be all about teddy bears, and the library will celebrate the Chinese New Year on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 3:30 p.m. with a special craft event.
