Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club funds local scholarship

LaVerne Schlosser, chair of the Philanthropy Committee for the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club, attended the Annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Mira Costa College. The Garden Club funded the scholarship awarded to Enrique Aquino-Quiroz (pictured at right with LaVerne Schlosser).

Enrique is a second year horticulture student at Mira Costa College. He plans to become a landscape architect. Enrique already runs his own business and, in that regard, is following in his father’s footsteps. “Enrique is a very friendly and upbeat young man,” says Schlosser. “I think he is quite the entrepreneur and will do very well in realizing his goals.”
