Rancho Santa Fe Firefighters respond to fatal collision in 4S Ranch

On Wednesday, May 29, at 6:24 p.m., firefighters from the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection Districted responded to the report of a traffic collision at the intersection of 4S Ranch Parkway and Camino Del Norte. Upon arrival they found two cars had collided. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was flown by Mercy Air helicopter to the hospital in critical condition.

Two fire engines and a battalion chief from the RSFFPD responded to the incident along with a San Diego Fire Department Truck and San Diego Medical Services ambulance. The cause of the collision is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
