Rancho Santa Fe bank robbed
By City News Service
A thin masked man in a yellow raincoat and baseball cap robbed a North County bank the afternoon of Nov. 4.
The thief, who appeared to be in his mid-20s to early 30s, demanded cash from a teller at the Pacific Western branch office in the 6100 block of El Tordo in Rancho Santa Fe at about 3:30 p.m., sheriff’s Lt. David Gilmore said.
The bandit claimed to be carrying a gun, but it was unclear if he displayed one. He fled with an undisclosed amount of stolen cash.
