The search will soon begin for a replacement for retiring RSF Association Manager Pete Smith, as the RSF Association board approved the process to recruit the best candidate at its May 15 meeting. The compensation committee will draft a job description that will be presented to the board for review and approval. That job description will be used in a request for proposal circulated to search firms that will be taxed with finding manager candidates, preferably a firm that specializes in homeowners associations. The search firm candidates will be narrowed down to between three to five search firms, and will be interviewed by the board for selection. The board will also approve and select a compensation package.
Director Jerry Yahr stressed that Acting Manager Ivan Holler is a strong candidate and will be included in the manager search.
The board plans to review a job description and have a list of potential search firms at its June 5 meeting.
