Liens placed on delinquent Covenant properties

By Karen Billing

Liens will be placed on seven Covenant properties that are delinquent on the first payment of 2011-12 assessments. The number is down significantly from March, when 39 property payments were delinquent, a credit to the Rancho Santa Fe Association staff, who made a “tremendous” effort to obtain the payments through letters, phone calls, certified mail and now liens, said Steve Comstock, RSF Association chief financial officer.

The second assessment payments for 2011-12 were due on April 19 and Comstock said he expects those seven property owners to be delinquent on that payment, as well.
