‘‘Jockey for a Cause’’ benefit

The inaugural “Jockey for a Cause” charity event was held July 18 at the DeHaven Estate in Rancho Santa Fe, following opening day races at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar.

Proceeds from the event will provide funding for two charities: The Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) and The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation, which assists riders and others in the industry facing a financial crisis.For more information, visit www.pdjf.org or www.tjcfoundation.org.
