It’s All About the Cake!

DreamKeepers Project, Inc., the support group for the Family Recovery Center, held its fifth, annual membership drive, titled “It’s All ABout the Cake!,” Oct. 1 at the home of Joan Cunningham in Rancho Pacifica. The Family Recovery Center (FRC), located in Oceanside, assists women in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. The center’s purpose is to help women learn to choose more positive behaviors and permits them opportunities to unify their family through education and self awareness programs. DreamKeepers, Project Inc. is a nonprofit organization which provides support for the women and children who reside at the facility. Wedding cake designer Heidi Rogers, of Heidi Rogers Cakes provided a “hands-on” demonstration for guests at the event, and shared secrets about how to decorate the perfect cake. In addition, the event included door prizes and an opportunity drawing for gift baskets and sumptuous desserts.
