Guests get a ‘Passport to Africa’
Guests gathered at the Rancho Santa Fe home of John and Maria Assaraf Oct. 28 for “Passport to Africa: Experience An Evening of Hope, Justice and Transformation” in rural Uganda. The event benefits the work of Just Like My Child Foundation. The organization’s mission is to transform humanity by “empowering women and children to reach their full potential through improved Health Care, Education and Microenterprise.” Special event guest was Sister Ernestine Akulu R.N., P.T, who came from Uganda, East Africa to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for her “fierce commitment, love, dedication and work for the communities and children of Uganda.” For more information, visit
