Delicias Restaurant dedicates an evening to the San Diego Rescue Mission
Delicias Restaurant in Rancho Santa Fe hosted the San Diego Rescue Mission (SDRM) on Sept. 28 to celebrate SDRM’s 55th anniversary. In recognition of this milestone, SDRM invited 55 of its most cherished supporters to honor their continued support of the organization’s mission to assure safe-haven as well as restorative care and rehabilitation services to the homeless, addicted, abused, and poor in our community.
Owen Perry, owner of Delicias Restaurant, dedicated his entire establishment to SDRM, and his staff, including chefs and waiters, donated their time to the Mission.
“This was an evening to celebrate the many whose kindness and generosity, with God’s grace, has helped us keep our doors and hearts open,” said Herb Johnson, President and CEO of the San Diego Rescue Mission. “This gracious gift from Owen Perry was a special time to pay homage to our supporters. We asked that they keep their wallets zipped and simply enjoy the camaraderie of the evening. Still, somehow, we raised more than $14,000 for SDRM, a true demonstration of the commitment of these individuals to the plight of the homeless in our community and the strength of our mission to bring hope.”
