Rancho Santa Fe resident Bob Burke is heading up a new culinary class for despaired youth at New Haven Youth Services in Vista, and he’s holding a fundraiser at his Carlsbad restaurant Coyote Bar & Grill to raise money for the program.

The event is on Nov. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature live and silent auctions, food, live music and a no host bar. Tickets are available at

New Haven has been effectively working with youth and their families since 1967. Most of the young men who enter their program are between the ages of 12 and 17 and have either a mental health condition or a family conflict which contributed to their failure to function effectively within their family or school environment.
