Client, Creativity, Craft and Community: My Approach to Rancho Santa Fe Real Estate

By Janet Lawless Christ

Our homes are our havens. Here, we build families, friends and community. Our homes are not only our sanctuary, but they are likely the most valuable asset we own. It’s these emotional and financial values behind a home that guide my approach to real estate. Buying and selling real estate is so much more to me than just a business transaction. To me, real estate is all about the client, the creativity, the craft and the community.

When it comes to home-buying, my clients are the most important thing to me. Meeting their needs and putting them into their ideal home is why I do what I do. Because buying and selling homes is full of such emotion and uncertainty, I make it a priority to furnish my clients with data and facts instead of wishful thinking and predictions. I also make sure I am available to them—whether by via email, phone, or text—whenever they have any questions, concerns or ideas.

With the personal motto “A person’s work is a portrait of themselves,” I pride myself and my team on our creative approach to real estate. Traditional marketing techniques, such as MLS listings and brochures, are perfectly fine for an average transaction. But to truly shine with authenticity, it takes much more than going through the motions. To make the most of every listing, I create out-of-the-box ideas to promote your home. You don’t have to look any further than my

featured in last month’s column to understand that my approach is, in the truest sense, different.

Real estate is also a craft, and one of my main priorities is restoring genuineness to the art of buying and selling homes. That means being honest with my clients and updating them regularly. I strive for the best possible outcome— for them. For you.

As a resident of Rancho Santa Fe, I love this community. Amongst several other clubs, I am a member of the RSF Literary Society, The RSF Foundation Women’s Fund, and The RSF Garden Club. I cherish the philanthropic spirit of our community and its wonderful culture and spirit. As a Rancho Santa Fe real estate agent, I am honored to contribute to such a resonant community.

This holiday season, may your home and heart be merry and may your future be bright. Here’s to 2014 and all that is to come for Rancho Santa Fe.
