policeOn Oct. 8, at about 12:18 p.m., a hispanic male adult entered the Bank of America, located at 17008 Avenida de Acacias, in the village of Rancho Santa Fe. The male handed the bank teller a demand note and verbally demanded money from the teller. The suspect fled out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. A short time later, Sheriff deputies from the Encinitas Patrol Station conducted a traffic stop on a possible suspect vehicle. The male passenger inside the vehicle matched the description of the robbery suspect. The driver of the vehicle, a hispanic female, was also detained.
After further investigation both subjects were arrested for the robbery. An undisclosed amount of money was recovered from the vehicle.
RSF Patrol officers responded with Sheriff deputies to the alarm call and assisted at the bank.
