Eleven organizations were awarded grants totaling $50,000 at the RSF Garden Club’s annual meeting held May 28. The funds will be used for projects that promote charitable horticulture and charitable conservation in Rancho Santa Fe and surrounding communities. Recipients were selected from a group of local 501(c)3 non-profits who responded to the club’s request for proposals. The RSF Garden Club Grant Committee went through 20 proposals that were submitted, conducting site visits and determining which organizations should be awarded funds this year.
The next request for proposals is scheduled to be sent out in February 2016.
These organizations were selected to receive grants: Osuna Adobe Restoration Fund at the RSF Foundation, San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy, MiraCosta College Foundation, Solana Ranch Elementary School, Park Dale Lane Elementary School, The Water Conservation Garden, San Diego Botanic Garden, Rancho Santa Fe School District, Pacific Rim Elementary School, Don Diego Scholarship Fund and Skyline Elementary School. Find details on the projects that were funded at www.rsfgardenclub.org, or at The Upscale Resale Shoppe, in the basement of the Garden Club building.
