San Diego's best dressed will strut their stuff during Leonard Simpson's 2010 Best Dressed of San Diego awards and "Dressed to the Nth Degree" fashion show on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Ronald McDonald House, 2929 Children's Way. Proceeds benefit the "home away from home" and Family Care Center for families with hospitalized children.
The VIP Private Party begins at 5 p.m. and the Red Carpet event begins at 6 p.m.
The event will include a dazzling fashion show, awards to the year's snazziest dressers, and a sparkling indoor forest of professionally decorated trees available for auction.
Amanda Baker, film and television actress from "All My Children," will serve as the evening's emcee. Mary Murphy, from the television show "So You Think You Can Dance," will participate in the evening as a celebrity guest and Nick Verreos of TV's "Project Runway" will treat attendees with a peek at his latest collection of red carpet gowns.
Leonard Simpson, renowned "Style Guy" and founder of Fashion Forward, along with Linda Masters, chair of the event, will present Nolan Miller with the Fashion Forward(tm) Lifetime Designer Award. Sally B. Thornton, founding chair of the Best Dressed of San Diego awards and RSF’s Denise and Bertrand Hug, the event's honorary chairs will also participate in the evening's festivities.
The awards presentation and a runway fashion show will follow cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $150 ($250 VIP seating) and available at the Ronald McDonald House website
