San Diego Film Festival Oscar Party takes home the gold
The San Diego Film Festival kicked off its inaugural awards night Oscar viewing party on Feb. 22, to benefit the San Diego Film Foundation, which produces the San Diego Film Festival. Over 150 Patron Circle members and VIP’s gathered for the glamorous fete hosted by Charo Garcia-Guerra at her Willowbrook Farms estate in Rancho Santa Fe.
Event co-chairs Sonya Berg and Diana Shapiro kicked off the evening with “Diamonds are Forever” Bond-themed models who greeting guests on the red carpet. The lively event toasted the Festival’s roster of critically-acclaimed films up for awards, including Whiplash, The Imitation Game and Mr. Turner. Each screened at the 2014 San Diego Film Festival and brought home four Oscar wins and nine nominations combined.
Attendees included: Board members Dale Strack, Chairman; Kevin Leap, President; Tonya Mantooth, VP; Patti Judd, VP; and Vicky Carlson, CFO.
