Teen Volunteers in Action
Teen Volunteers in Action (TVIA) San Diego Chapter 1 held its Senior Send Off ceremony May 1 at the Nativity School Activity Center in Rancho Santa Fe. This event is a culmination of a six-year commitment to volunteerism from these teen boys who are now heading off to college. Speaker Erick McElvenny spoke to the TVIA members about his completion of the Ironman Triathlon after his tour of duty in Afghanistan and his leg amputation.
Each of the senior boys was recognized at the event as well.
