Rancho Santa Fe Children’s Library celebrates a summer of reading
The Rancho Santa Fe Children’s Library’s summer reading program was capped off with an ice cream social at the RSF Community Center on Friday, July 29. Children enjoyed ice cream floats, carnival games, a raffle and jump roping with the Coronado Speed Spinners.
Children’s Library volunteer Nora Kasier said that 440 kids participated in the summer reading program and children read over 3,000 books. Teen readers logged over 880 hours.
Kasier thanked the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation for providing a grant to make the summer reading program possible and to all of the local businesses who participated as passport sponsors.
