Fond farewell for retiring music director held at SummerFest gala

La Jolla Music Society held its annual SummerFest gala Aug. 11 at UC San Diego Audrey Geisel University House, hosted by Chancellor Pradeep Khosla.

Sponsors and guests at the elegant evening celebrated retiring violinist Cho-Liang Lin’s tenure as SummerFest music director. They were treated to a private concert from world-class musicians, paired with world-class cuisine created by chef Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille. The gala raised funds for LJMS’ Artistic and Education Outreach programs.
