Paint The Rowe RED Celebration
The Rancho Santa Fe Education Foundation kicked off its annual Red Envelope Friday fundraiser on Oct. 5. To commemorate the activities, parent volunteers handed out donuts at morning drop-off and popcorn at afternoon pick-up. The day ended with an invitation only “Paint The Rowe Red” reception underwritten and held at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, for those families who made a contribution (photos of that event are on this page).
On Red Envelope Friday, parents are asked to join a long-standing tradition of giving. Last year, 84 percent of Roger Rowe families contributed to the fund. The RSFEF grant supports nearly 10 percent of the district’s Annual Operating Budget — it is the second largest source of revenue for the district behind property taxes. The funds that are raised by the RSFEF annual campaign help fund this year’s district operating budget. While this funding impacts almost every facet of the school district, support for the school is concentrated in three areas: individualized instruction, enrichment offerings for K-8, and specialized teachers with advanced credentials.
