Opening Day at Del Mar Part I

The 2018 Del Mar racing season officially began July 18 with Opening Day events at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and Racetrack, including the popular Hats Contest. Final attendance was 33,112 people for Opening Day at the Del Mar Race Track. The 24th annual Opening Day Hats Contest at Del Mar drew more than 300 contestants.
