The RSF Literary Society hosted guest speaker Nathan Hill, author of the award-winning novel “The Nix,” at a luncheon held Jan. 25 at The Fairmont Grand Del Mar. “The Nix,” which takes place over several decades and on two continents, tells the story of a disaffected university professor who suffers from a monumental case of writer’s block, and his mother, who abandoned her family when the professor was a boy. For more, see the story on page A11.

The RSF Literary Society is sponsored by Northern Trust, the RSF Community Center and the RSF Review.
