Empty Bowl Dinner at Rowe School
The 3rd Annual Empty Bowl Dinner fundraiser took place April 20 at R. Roger Rowe School. All middle school art students worked hard to create beautiful ceramic bowls, which event attendees received when they bought tickets for the dinner, which included a bowl of soup and dessert. The event raised funds for the San Diego Food Bank. The bowls made by students were meant to represent those less fortunate who often go without a good meal. The Empty Bowl Dinner is a way to help show students how their art can be used for the positive change that they want to see in the world.
