The 55th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County (BBBS SDC) Gourmet Dinner, “Rockin’ Role Models,” grossed $883,000 for its one-to-one mentoring programs. Some 650 business leaders heard first-hand the impact that BBBS SDC is having on the community, Oct. 12, at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. Awards were given out to honored guests, including “Person of the Year” Bill Brennan, “Lifetime Achievement” award winner Paul Hering, and three “Courage Award” winners — children in the program who overcame adversity with the support of their Big Brother or Big Sister.
