‘The Art of Joe Caroff’ closing party/benefit
Sergott Contemporary Art Alliance in Rancho Santa Fe held a closing event for “The Art of Joe Caroff” Aug. 17. The event also included a fashion showcase directed by Claire Cellier and music played by Malamana featuring Juanito and Fredi.
Caroff has had a distinguished career as a designer, with over 300 film campaigns including “West Side Story” and the famous 007 logo for the James Bond film series. He retired from commercial art in 1980 but has since had a career as an artist. His investigations into the nature of abstraction have ranged from prints and drawings to collages and larger paintings.
A portion of all sales from the closing party will benefit the Center for Oncology in Pediatrics Foundation (COP) in Tijuana, Mexico.
