Marine Corps Color Guard visits Solana Santa Fe School in Rancho Santa Fe

Solana Santa Fe School had a special visit from the Marine Corps Color Guard for the closing ceremonies of Red Ribbon Week on Friday, Nov. 1.  The color guard marched onto the school blacktop and the students sang “The Star Spangled Banner.”

On Nov. 1, Principal Stephen Bering was dressed in his pajamas to reward students for participating in Red Ribbon Week festivities. Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign promoting drug, alcohol, and tobacco abuse prevention and awareness in schools and communities. Photos/Karen Billing
