The 2018 Salvation Army Women of Dedication Luncheon was held May 30 at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina. The event marked the 53rd year of honoring women who give back in their community. The theme, “Wonder Women,” acknowledges “the remarkable lives and actions of the honorees.” RSF residents Bill and Susan Hoehn were Honorary Chairs of the event and were also honored for their longtime support of the Salvation Army. Susan Hoehn was selected as a Woman of Dedication last year.
The event included boutique shopping, a silent and live auction, and the Presentation of Honorees. All of the proceeds from this luncheon will benefit social service programs of The Salvation Army at the Centre City Corps Community Center, and other programs around San Diego County, focusing on homelessness and human trafficking.
This year’s honorees included: Deborah Cross, Suzi Day, Laurnie Durisoe, Angela Harris, Dayna Hoff, Kimberly Hunt, Regina Kurtz, Sally Watt Oxley, Rana Sampson, Claudia Thompson, Vickie Turner, Kathryn Vaughn.
