Thrivin’ in the Ranch!

As San Diego beaches are inundated with tourists and busier than ever, many Rancho Santa Fe residents opted to stay closer to home and enjoy the beauty and serenity of historic Rancho Santa Fe at the second of the Thrive in the Ranch summer picnic series held July 24 on the lawns of The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Attendees enjoyed acoustic music by Matt Commerce, tacos from San Diego Taco Company, kids activities by Game Masters and hand-dipped ice cream from JoJos creamery. The ongoing events are sponsored by several local businesses and entertainment was sponsored by Bree Bornstien and Bill & Shenell Malloy.

According to Sarah Neal, co-chair of the picnic series, “It was an especially magical evening and one of our most popular picnics yet. We added a charitble component with our Thrive food drive, and received donations from families to support the El Cajon Salvation Army which is currently critically low on food donations.”

Thrive in the Ranch is a local organization which seeks to support a village for all generations in historic Rancho Santa Fe by supporting community through hosting casual outdoor events such as its summer picnic series. The series continues with the next Thrive in the Ranch picnic on Aug. 15, which offers the same lineup of food and entertainment and an outdoor movie night on Sept. 14. Admission to the events is free and open to residents of Rancho Santa Fe and surrounding communities. Non-perishable food donations to the El Cajon Salvation army are requested.
